About Carrier Systems
Carrier Heating and Air Conditioning Systems Phenix City, AL
Back in 1902, Willis Carrier invented a machine to deliver conditioned air and remove humidity from indoor environments. By 1906, Carrier’s “Apparatus for Treating Air” was being used in textile mills to remove humidity and cool the air. Since then, the Carrier Corporation has led innovations in air conditioning and heating for more than a century. Riley Heating and Air Conditioning is proud to be a member of Carrier’s exclusive team of Factory Authorized Dealers. As one of the first Carrier Factory Authorized Dealers in our service area of eastern Alabama and western Georgia, we take this distinction seriously as your #1 local choice for Carrier air conditioning systems.
Carrier Air Conditioning Systems and Heating Products
Carrier offers several product lines that meet almost all residential heating, air conditioning, and ventilation needs. Whether you need a ductless system, prefer a geothermal heat pump or want a forced-air central system, there is a Carrier product that will satisfy both your budget and comfort requirements. Most Carrier air conditioning units exceed both federal Seasonal Energy Efficiency Ratio (SEER) standards and the more stringent Energy Star requirements. In fact, the top models of Carrier’s split air conditioners and gas-powered furnaces were each rated Most Efficient by Energy Star.
Carrier Central Air Conditioning Systems
Carrier offers both split system air conditioners and packaged units. The three series of Carrier central air conditioning systems, Infinity, Performance, and Comfort are all backed by 10-year limited warranties.
In split systems, the compressor is situated in a cabinet outside the building and the evaporator coil is housed inside, usually with the furnace. The indoor cabinet may also include a heat pump. In packaged systems, all components are housed in one cabinet that is usually located outside. Packaged systems may also include heat pumps, gas furnaces or hybrid heat systems that combine the two.
Ductless Mini-Split Systems
Does your commercial or residential building does not have ductwork? A ductless mini-split system offers either air conditioning alone or a combined heat pump and air conditioning option. Ductless systems provide conditioned air to up to four rooms on one compressor. Indoor blowers are mounted on the wall, ceiling or floor. Each room has its own climate control. Because the compressor is outside, ductless units are very quiet.
Carrier Furnaces
Carrier offers gas-powered furnaces in the same three lines as its air conditioners, Infinity, Performance and Comfort, and oil-powered furnaces in the Performance and Comfort lines. Several models pair an electric heat pump with a gas or oil furnace. When temperatures are mild, the heat pump is an ideal option. As temperatures drop and more heat is needed, the furnace automatically turns on. All Carrier furnaces meet minimum federal annual fuel utilization efficiency (AFUE) requirements.
